Momentum show support on large scale

Momentum has gone all out to show support for the Soccer World Cup and to drum up enthusiasm and create a buzz for both for staff and visitors to our Head Office.
Around the fountain, directly outside the main entrance are billboards of 12 life-size soccer players in action
Inside 12-meter banners hang four stories from the reception and atrium ceilings.  Specialist rigging crews were called in with scaffolding to pulley hoist the heavy PVC banners to the ceiling.

Clubview Corner Spar welcomes the world

The staff of Clubview Corner Spar participated in a competition to decide which Spar did the best to welcome the world to our country.
They invited kids from a nearby Pre-Primary School to participate in a competition on who could decorate the best gingerbread man.
The store is also decorated in flags, soccer balls and the different departments in the store also decorated the cakes, breads and meat with flags and soccer balls.
At the entrance to the store a huge soccer goalpost was erected using cooldrink containers and bottles.

Denel Dynamics’ show of soccer spirit recently saw the Denel entity kit out a central passage in the company’s offices with fresh astro-turf and goal posts, kicking off its “World Cup soccer shoot-out” – complete with an electrified pitch-side gathering of staff and colleagues.
Forty teams, made up of a mix of ladies and gents all wearing their soccer kit of choice, lined the corridors of Denel Dynamics on Friday, 30 April 2010 to take part in the first round of the company’s World Cup Soccer Shoot-Out.

KIA Motors Mascot Friend Campaign

Kia Motors, an official automotive partner of the 2010 FIFA World Cup TM, will be giving six young children from Pretoria the opportunity of a life time.
The KIA Mascot Friend Program, which was launched on 27 March 2010, searches for children between the ages of 8 and 14 to accompany Zakumi, the official Mascot of the 2010 FIFA World Cup TM, onto the pitch before match kick-off for each of the 64 matches.

AARON – 2010 ambassador for Irene Village Mall

Aaron Maluleke, an employee of Braza restaurant at Irene Village Mall, has been appointed as the official Irene VillageMall’s 2010 Ambassador!
With his bicycle flying our flag, as well as its beautiful wood-engraved number plate with the words “GO 2010 GP”, he reminds all along his way what makes this country truly special – its people.
Aaron travels 19 km on the famous bicycle from his home in Winnie Mandela Park to Braza’s scullery every day.

Soccer Fever infects Mars Africa

Mars Africa associates were ablaze with soccer fever on Monday 17 May as they celebrated their Communications Day at the head office in Rosslyn, Pretoria.
This year’s event, which was themed ‘Feel It, It Is Here’ in true support of Bafana Bafana and the upcoming Soccer World Cup, treated 350 associates to a day off work to celebrate the company’s successes and acknowledge their great achievements.

Even the dogs are celebrating!

Soccer Fever also run high at Lenchen Park Centre, Lenchen Avenue, Hennopspark and the staff from The Print Factory invited all their neighbours at the centre as well as some of their clients to come and make a noise to support Bafana Bafana.
Even The Wag Team, Primus,Gap, Wethu and Wizard, are so happy to support the country they have dressed-up for the occasion.
