Centurion Business Forum network meetings

The Centurion Business Forum (CBF) held their May 2015 monthly network function at the Cuppa Volta Café / La Volta Dance Studio.
The theme for this meeting was cyber security.
The June 2015 meeting was sponsored by Barloworld Toyota Centurion with well known TV and radio presenter Lindie Strydom as the guest speaker.
Guests also had the opportunity to test drive the various vehicles on display.
This event was also the annual blanket drive event of the CBF and the load of blankets collected will be distributed to three different charities within the Centurion …

Six guest speakers at Centurion Business Forum network function

The Centurion Business Forum held their April network function at Vintage Coffee, Centurion.
Jaco Duvenhage was the acting chairman for the day with Maritza du Plessis leading the proceedings.
Six guest speakers included Ryan Matthew from Urban Genesis, who explained the City Improvement Project (CID Project) that has been established in Centurion.
Lt Col Mike O’Connor, OC of SAAF Musuem invited all to the 2015 Air Show at Zwartkops Air Force Base when they celebrate 95 years of Aviation Excellence and 21 Years of Democracy.

New face at Centurion Business Forum’s Office

The Management of the Centurion Business Forum (CBF) appointed Charmaine Murugan for the administration of the Forum’s office with effect from 1 April 2015.
Charmaine’s husband, Neville received a transfer from Durban to Centurion two years ago and she decided to stay at home while their sons, Tevin (20) and Marklyn (18) were studying.
With the sons now independent, Charmaine was looking to join a dynamic company and she is looking forward to a long and happy future with the CBF.

SACBW Centurion reik uit met Broodjie-projek

Die SACBW Centuriontak het besluit om ‘n Broodjieprojek as een van hulle uitreikprojekte vir die jaar van stapel te stuur.
Fondse word tydens elke maand se netwerkfunksie ingesamel en dan word die geld aan ‘n skool geskenk om kos aan behoeftige kinders van die skool te voorsien.
Die eerste skool wat by hierdie projek gebaat het, is die Hoërskool Zwartkop en die hoof, dr Dewald Strydom het die donasie in ontvangs geneem.

Centurion van die Jaar 2014 aangewys

Die Centurion Sakekamer het tydens hul maandelikse netwerkfunksie op 13 Februarie 2015, DA Raadslid Ina Strijdom as die Centurion van die Jaar 2014 aangewys.
Ina Strijdom is as Raadslid die spreekbuis vir die City of Tshwane Elektriese Departement en poog sy altyd om sover moontlik en vining probleme op hierdie gebied in die area uit te sorteer.

At the February 2015 Hirsch’s Centurion business network function, guest speaker Adele du Rand, discussed what to do when you or your company experience a problem to keep top talent and foster engagements on all levels.
Joanne Brunette thanked the Adele for her very inspiring talk with a voucher form Hirsch’s and invited all the guests to introduce themselves and their businesses.
Lucky draws with awesome donated prizes were handed out and the guests networked over coffee and snacks sponsored by Whirlpool.

The topic of the SACBW Centurion monthly network function for February 2015 was how to brand you and your business to be great.

SACBW hosts National Congress Seminars

The SACouncil for Business Women is a non-profit organisation and is represented nationally by successful business women.
The council was established to represents women in business and create a vehicle for women to network, learn from each other, grow and mentor other women in the field of business.
Their slogan “Unlocking potential” is key to this organisation as it is the explicit goal to see women grow to their full potential, reach their goals and succeed in business.

Centurion Business Forum first network meeting a huge success

The Centurion Business Forum held their first network meeting for 2015 on 21 January 2015 that was well attended by 140 people and hosted by Open Window, Irene.
Members from the Capital City Business Chamber also attended the event.
Prof Elfriede Dreyer, Executive Dean, was the keynote speaker and the topic of discussion was how personal development can lead to success.
New members as well as those who renewed their membership for the year, were introduced and eight new members joined on the day.

SACBW Centurion start the year with a Casual Event

The SA Council for Business Women, Centurion Branch held their first networking event for the year at Mugg & Bean, Centurion Mall with about 90 ladies attending.
Carina Nel, Chairperson welcomed all and introduced the committee members. She also briefed the ladies on the projects undertaken by the SACBW Centurion Branch.
Collection tins were handed to the ladies and car stickers were sold – both to collect funds for the iDuc Project which assist abused women and children.
