Centurion Business Forum first network meeting a huge success

The Centurion Business Forum held their first network meeting for 2015 on 21 January 2015 that was well attended by 140 people and hosted by Open Window, Irene.
Members from the Capital City Business Chamber also attended the event.
Prof Elfriede Dreyer, Executive Dean, was the keynote speaker and the topic of discussion was how personal development can lead to success.
New members as well as those who renewed their membership for the year, were introduced and eight new members joined on the day.

SACBW Centurion start the year with a Casual Event

The SA Council for Business Women, Centurion Branch held their first networking event for the year at Mugg & Bean, Centurion Mall with about 90 ladies attending.
Carina Nel, Chairperson welcomed all and introduced the committee members. She also briefed the ladies on the projects undertaken by the SACBW Centurion Branch.
Collection tins were handed to the ladies and car stickers were sold – both to collect funds for the iDuc Project which assist abused women and children.

SACBW Centurion held information panel discussion

The monthly network function of the SACBW Centurion Branch held in October 2014 was a very informative panel discussion.
The topic was the effect the new BBEEE status regulations will have on businesses, how they can apply, the financial and tax implications, legal aspects and the view from government level.
The expert panel members were Maritza du Plessis (applications), Lucia Raubenheimer (tax and financial), Chantelle Coertzen (legal) and special guest, Adriana Randal, DA Councillor (government level).

SACBW Centurion growing in strength

The South African Council of Business Women (SACBW) is an inclusive, dynamic, vibrant and powerful agent of change in the South African business environment.

SACBW supports National iDuct Project

The SA Council for Business Women and The Job Club will be taking part in the global 16 days Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign which runs from 25 November 2014 to International Human Rights Day on 10 December 2014.
The iDuct Project was initiated after hearing the story of Santi Britz who was raped in 2009 and after healing started to assist other rape victims in her community.

Centurion Business Forum elects new management team

The Centurion Business Forum (CBF) held their Annual General Meeting on the 20 October 2014 at the Forever Hotel Centurion.
The new management were elected and heading the team is the chairperson, Johan (Lappies) Labuschagne, vice-chairperson Gerhard Ferreira and Jaco Duvenhage as secretary.
Jaco Kotze (general manager: Forever Hotel Centurion) and acting chairperson thanked all the members and wished the new team well in there endeavours.

Winners of the SACBW Business Women of the Year 2014 awards

The SA Council for Business Women (SACBW) announced the Business Women of the Year winners for 2014 at their annual gala dinner in Pretoria.
The winners were announced in three categories together with the Mentor of the Year, Branch of the Year, Presidential Award and Honorary Life Member Award.
