Gautrain construction well under way

The Gautrain project is well under way in Centurion and progress is going on at a firm pace.
According to Kelebogile Machaka, spokesperson at the Bombela Concession Company, Viaduct 5c, one of the newlyerected railway bridges in Centurion, carries the elevated Gautrain railway lines through the commercial areas in Centurion.
“It will form a link between the balanced cantilever viaducts crossing the N1 highway at John Vorster interchange in the south and the Ben Schoeman highway at the Jean Avenue interchange in the north,” Kelebogile said, adding that the …

Time flies

It is almost unbelievable how quickly time goes by. We will however not complain about celebrating a long Easter weekend and holidays.
Apart from celebrating the resurrection of Jesus, we also indulge in all the Easter eggs and other chocolates that are available during this festival.

Prof de la Rey addressed South Africans abroad

The Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Pretoria, Prof Cheryl de la Rey, addressed the audience at the Homecoming Revolution event held in London on 20 March 2010.
The Homecoming Revolution is a non-profit organization aimed at addressing skills shortage in South Africa by encouraging and facilitating many South Africans to come back home.
The annual event is now at its fourth year and it is comprised of many South African companies which offer job opportunities and recruitment programmes for suitably skilled South Africans living abroad.

New Officer in Command for 68 Air School

The 68 Air School in Centurion held a “Change of Command” parade on Friday, March 5 at their premises in Trichardt Road, Lyttelton.
Communication Officer, Lieutenant Phillemon Lebotse said that: “The South African Airforce (SAAF) 68 Squadron were the first unit ever to wear the summer ceremonial dress during a change of command parade,” adding that SAAF members and their families from all over the country came to witness the event which takes place only once every three years.

Solidarity Helping Hand took an historic step during the opening of the photo exhibition of Gebroke Land, which portrays Afrikaner poverty since 1902, to actively find solutions to the new, silent poverty among Afrikaners.
Helping Hand announced at the Castle of Good Hope that it will develop a new social work degree in cooperation with Aros.
