We wish to thank the world for coming to our beautiful country to support their teams. I hope we will see more of you in the years to come.
After the long wait it is almost sad to think the World Cup is ending soon. Good luck to the remaining teams. Good luck also to Bafana Bafana for I am sure they will go all the way in 2014 to bring back the trophy! You have done us proud and will do so again.

Vibro Bricks donated a truckload of blankets

On 29 June 2010, more than 200 blankets were handed over by Vibro Bricks to the Centurion Business Forum in aid of their winter warming community project.
The blankets will be distributed to needy families in the immediate area of Vibro Bricks, as identified by the Centurion Business Chamber.
“We want to give back to the community in a way that will really make a difference.” said Mrs Julia Macaskill, Group Human Resources Manager of Vibro Bricks.

Meer as 400 mense van Pretoria Wes-Moot het onlangs ’n skenking van kos, groente en vrugte van goedgesinde mense en boere van Witrivier gekry.
Me. Jenny Schoeman van Witrivier het in die media kennis geneem van die Pretoria/Tswhane-metroraad se pogings om sekere individue in Pretoria Wes-Moot uit hulle tydelike Wendy-huisie te sit omdat dit ’n sogenaamde onwettige struktuur op die betrokke erf is.     Sy het gevoel om iets te doen om die slegte omstandighede van die mense van die Wes-Moot te verbeter.

AccTech Systems finalist again

Centurion-based company, AccTech Systems (Pty) Ltd has been selected as a finalist for the Microsoft World Partner Awards in the Information Worker Solutions, Enterprise Project Management Partner of the Year award category.
“This is the third year in a row that we have been nominated as a finalist for Microsoft International’s annual partner awards,” says Tertius Zitzke, Chief Executive Officer of AccTech Systems.

Tydens AfriForum Jeug se Nasionale Jeugkonferensie, wat onlangs in Centurion aangebied is, het bykans 30 nasionale jeugorganisasies die 5 vernaamste struikelblokke wat vreedsame naasbestaan in Suid-Afrika verhoed, geïdentifiseer.
Hierdie kwessies is misdaad; swak ekonomiese beleid; taaldiskriminasie; onverdraagsaamheid en onvoldoende opleidingsprogramme.
Die organisasies wat hieroor besin het, het wyd uiteenlopende agtergronde verteenwoordig en onder meer politieke partye, kultuurorganisasies, studentegroepe en entrepreneursvereniginge ingesluit.
Hoewel al die organisasies nie saamgestem het oor die manier waarop hierdie kwessies aangespreek moet word nie, was daar wel eenstemmigheid daaroor dat die genoemde probleme die grootste struikelblokke vir die jeug …

Doringkloof Residents’ Association bringing people together

The Doringkloof Residents’ Association started in late 2006 after the increasing crime in the area resulted in a resident being shot during a hijacking. A public meeting was called and a committee was formed to drive the counter-crime initiative.
Some residents had already commenced with an anti-crime support system using PMR (non-licence) radios and the use of radios soon became the basis for all other developments involving the anti-crime drive.
One resident contributed his own website as a rallying point where residents could make contact and obtain valuable information.

Mrs Modern Woman finalists introduced

Mrs Modern Woman is a national pageant event since 2006 and calls for married woman with Christian values.
The finalists should not only know the importance of maintaining a balance between religion, family and work, but should also encourage others to live up to their God-given potential.
“The pageant vision is to add value to the personal growth of woman and empower South Africans on all levels of society, and to act as leaders and established the platform to get involved in charity and fund-raising events within their communities”.

Onlangs het die beproefde resepteboek sy 20ste druk beleef en gemeet aan die aanvraag, is die boek nog lank nie uitgedien nie.

Olievenhoutbosch se vroue kry komberse

Die Arrie Nel Apteekgroep het op ‘n koue wintersoggend, 5 Julie 2010, in samewerking met Aspen, komberse aan die vroue van die Olievenhoutbosch se Vaardigheidsontwikkelingsgroep geskenk.
Natasha-Lee Jones van die Arrie Nel Apteekgroep het persoonlik die komberse oorhandig en gesê dat Arrie Nel omgee vir mense wat swaarkry en deur die skenking ‘n verskil probeer maak.
Die Olievenhoutbosch  Vroue-Ontwikkelingsprojek staan onder beskerming van die Centurion Raad vir Bejaardes en strewe daarna on bejaarde en jonger vroue deur middel van handwerkopleiding in staat te stel tot beter bestaansmoontlikhede.

DRIVING DOWN MEMORY LANE

Well now, can you believe it?
Just the other day the 2010 World Cup was about to get on its way and we paid tribute to the three nations who had decided to make Centurion their home and as fate and sport happens, we now only have one team left, that being Germany.
A fond farewell to Italy and America, best of luck for 2014.
