SACBW Centurion Celebrated Women’s Day

The Centurion Branch of the SA Council for Business Women (SACBW) celebrated The Woman You Are with a sumptuous breakfast on 5 August 2010 at Leriba Lodge.
The theme of the function was The Power of the Corporate Image and how colour and style are the non-verbal method of presenting a woman in the business world.

Skaak kampioen

Pieter Reyneke, Graad 1 leerling van die Laerskool Swartkop, het derde plek in sy afdeling in die onlangse Menlopark 30/30 Skaak Toernooi behaal.
Hy is ook aangewys as die beste Graad 1 Speler en is genooi om aan die proewe op 27 & 28 Augustus deel te neem.

Dit is die boodskap van Solidariteit Helpende Hand, wat ʼn elektroniese referendum geloods het om aan Afrikaanssprekendes die geleentheid te gee om hul taal te op Nasionale Taaldag, 14 Augustus te ondersteun.
Nasionale Taaldag het vanjaar die stigting van die Genootskap van Regte Afrikaners 135 jaar gelede herdenk.

Spin saam vir liefdadigheid

Die jaarlikse Spin Marathon ten bate van Beeld-Kinderfonds beloof om weer vanjaar op 18 September ‘n baie opwindende geleentheid te wees!
Verlede jaar het 930 deelnemers die Spin Marathon ondersteun! Die mikpunt is om vanjaar R 260,000 in te samel.
Beeld-Kinderfonds is ‘n liefdadigheidsorganisasie met die doel om geld in te samel vir kinders in nood en bestaan vanaf 1977.
Die geld word aangewend vir kinders van alle rasse wat minderbevoorreg, verwaarloos, gestremd, mishandeld en/of gemolesteerd is, asook om kinders met of geraak deur MIV/Vigs te help met noodleniging, opvoeding en lewens-verryking

Regional Boerewors winner selected

Thirty-one regional winners in the Shoprite Checkers Championship Boerewors Competition were announced for the first group of regional rounds held at selected locations countrywide on Saturday 14 August 2010.
Paul Fouche from Rooihuiskraal walked away as the winner of the regional round held at Checkers Raslouw.
Martin Venter from Centurion was in second place and Marietjie Badenhorst from Laezonia earned third place.
Paul will now compete in the provincial round which will be held on Saturday 18 September 2010.

Sewentien geesdriftige potjiekossmullers het vanjaar aan die Regio Kleuterskool se Potjiekoskompetisie deelgeneem.
Die vure het vroeg begin knetter, die bykosse is voorberei, die korrekte en gepaste geurmiddels en speserye uitgepak en die tafels keurig gedek.
Die beoordelaars moes proe en weer proe, die spyskaart bekyk en die keuriggedekte potjiekostafels in ag neem.
