The month of March already! What is happening with the time? Already we can feel the change in the air with the sun rises later and sets earlier. Winter is coming! But there are still warm days that we can enjoy.

You are right about stopping at robots, but in Centurion!
Try driving from Lyttelton Police Station to Reds along H F Verwoerd Drive. You will pass about 20 robots and because they fire randomly you will probably stop at half of them.
Then at Doringkloof Mall on Botha Avenue there are 3 robots within 300 metres, you are almost certain to be stopped at least one of them and in a high risk Hi-Jack area too.

Visit the Centurion Quilters exhibition

The Centurion Quilters is a newly established group that forms part of the Jacaranda Quilters’ Guild, which is affiliated to the South African Quilters’ Guild.
The aim of the guild is to promote quilting and related textile crafts to interested people in the Pretoria area.
The Centurion Quilters meet the last Saturday of the month at the Catholic Church in Lyttelton.
The Centurion Quilters will exhibit their beautiful traditional quilts as well as more contemporary works at the Centurion Art Gallery from 1 – 11 March 2011. A tea garden will be available …

Dedicated First-Year Students rewarded

The University of Pretoria (UP) and Hyundai South Africa on Monday, 14 February 2011 rewarded one new first-year student with a brand new car for her dedication during UP’s new academic orientation programme.
Other prizes, such as laptops, printers and iPods, were also handed out.
According to statistics, approximately 18% of first-year students at UP did not complete their first year of study in 2009.

Light can disrupt your sleep

When one stays up late under bright lights, it will interrupt your body’s natural sleep-wake cycle, because light tricks your brain into remaining in daylight mode.

First winner of the Centurion Business Care Award

As from February 2011 the Centurion Business Forum accepts monthly nominations for acknowledgement of exceptional services by persons to the community.
Finalists are selected and invited to the monthly network function where the winner for the month is announced.
The overall winner, selected from the monthly winners, will receive a certificate and a cash prize, sponsored by ABSA Bank, at the year end function.
