“Ek het niks om aan te trek nie!”
Elkeen van ons het dit al gesê terwyl ons voor ons kas staan wat eintlik propvol klere is.  Niks lyk presies reg nie. 
Loslit Dag bied jou een dag in die jaar aan waar enige iets aanvaarbaar is. 
Hierdie besonders gewilde fondsinsamelingsgebeurtenis is gebaseer op die konsep dat jy enige iets vir die dag kan aantrek, solank jy die amptelike Loslit Dag-plakker ook dra. 
Die opbrengs van die donasies vir die plakkers bevoordeel organisasies wat dienste bied aan mense met gestremdhede.

I do not know if you also experience it, but to me it was the coldest winter in a long time and I am glad it is August. Even though it is the windiest month.
However, we can all look forward to the most beautiful season of the year, Spring! Time to clean out all the cobwebs, dust off the garden tools, get the pool ready and live again!

Ek het onlangs ‘n ring opgetel en ek wil dit graag aan die eienaar wil terugbesorg.

Recently The Centurion received an email informing us that the United Nation Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in collaboration with the Nelson Mandela Foundation (NMF) and William J Clinton Foundation held an internet raffle draw.
Our email address was drawn and was one of 18 lucky recipients of a yearly donation of $900,000.00 by these foundations and must be claimed within 14 days.
It was also claimed to have be signed by Rev. Dr. Desmond Tutu.
The Centurion finds it atrocious that anybody would want to degrade top respected statesmen and therefore …

ATKV Centurion het bykans sewentig, minderbevoorregte kinders wat nog nooit trein gery het nie, met ‘n rit op die Gautrein getrakteer.

Miss Junior Teen South Africa 2011 doen haar 67 minute vir Mandela se verjaarsdag

Natasha Joubert. Miss Junior Teen South Africa 2011 van Centurion, het op 16 Julie die Tshwane Haven for Babies en op 17 Julie die Doulos Ministries for Children in Meyerton, besoek.
“Ek glo dat enige “beauty queen” nie net ‘n mooi gesiggie moet wees nie, maar wel iemand wees wat terug in die gemeenskap sit.  Baie kinders kry alles wat mamma en pappa kan gee, maar hierdie kinders het nie huise nie,” sê Natasha.

The University of Pretoria celebrated Mandela Day

The University of Pretoria and the community of Mamelodi celebrated the Mandela Day by hosting a 67 minute clean-up in the area surrounding the university’s Mamelodi Campus.
The clean-up was done in co-operation with local schools and NGOs as well as University staff and students.
 The main objective of the event was to increase awareness of environmental conservation and waste recycling in the community of Mamelodi.

Family research becoming a serious subject

Some people are curious about all the stories they heard from their grandparents.
Another development is inheritance and DNA. The smaller the world becomes, the more people need to know where they come from.
