Centurion van die Jaar 2014 aangewys

Die Centurion Sakekamer het tydens hul maandelikse netwerkfunksie op 13 Februarie 2015, DA Raadslid Ina Strijdom as die Centurion van die Jaar 2014 aangewys.
Ina Strijdom is as Raadslid die spreekbuis vir die City of Tshwane Elektriese Departement en poog sy altyd om sover moontlik en vining probleme op hierdie gebied in die area uit te sorteer.
Uit die aard van haar werk is sy ook nou betrokke by die gemeenskap in haar wyk en staan sy hulle ook by in kritieke situasies.
Ina vergesel ook gereeld die SA Polisiediens, plaaslike Gemeenskaps Polisieringsforum …

What an awesome time and privileged it was to be elected First Runner-up in the Margaret Hirsch’s Women in Business Achiever of the Year 2015 competition.

Learner of the Month

Cecilia Maine works at a local hotel in Centurion in housekeeping.
Her job is to ensure that the hotel reception area is kept neat and tidy and that the rooms are ready for visitors with fully stocked mini bars and clean linen and towels.
Three years ago Cecilia got the opportunity to enroll in a Communication Level 1 programme that was offered through the hotel’s AET centre.
She has completed Level 1 and 2 and is currently enrolled in Level 3.

Nuwe Hoof Uitvoerende Beampte vir MPO

Dr Chris van Dijk word as die nuwe hoof uitvoerende beampte van die Melk Produsente Organisasie (MPO) met ingang van 4 Mei 2015 aangestel as opvolger vir Bertus de Jongh wat gaan aftree.
Die MPO is trots en bevoorreg om iemand van Dr van Dijk se kaliber in sy midde te verwelkom.
Dr van Dijk het gesê dat hy uitsien na die uitdagings van die nuwe pos en dat hy sal streef om voort te bou op die MPO se reputasie van uitstaande ondersteuning van en dienslewering aan melkprodusente landwyd.

Ten Thousand Blocks for AMOR Project

AMOR is a charity organization that provides items for the POP (Poorest of the Poor) babies and children, been treated for cancer or lung and heart problems at Steve Biko Hospital, Pretoria.
Ten Thousand Blocks for AMOR is a special project that Nilla’s Needlecraft, Centurion launched last year.
They aim to reach their dream of 10,000 knitted or crochet blocks to be sewn together in small blankets by the end of May 2015 to be handed to the POP (Poorest of the Poor) babies and children for winter.

Gala Event to celebrate Women in Business winners

The Gala Event for the announcement of the winners of the Margaret Hirsch Women in Business Achiever Awards was a glittering success and an inspiration to other business women to enter this year’s competition.
The Hirsch’s Centurion store was turned into a fabulous theatre by the Colour me Green team.
Dancers from Beverley Hammond dance school and fire-yielding dancer Warren Pearce from Hirsch’s entertained the guests. A gourmet buffet, drinks and a coffee bar contributed to a fabulous evening.

Hair Gone or Sprayed for CANSA

The annual Shavathon fundraising for CANSA was held at shopping centres on Saturday 28 February 2015.
At Miracco Capello Hair & Beauty Salon, Rooihuiskraal a festive atmosphere with jumping castle, music and stalls drew the crowds.
Ronnie Magic said her rescue show dogs of the W&G Team, did their bit for CANSA.
Meatworld at Gateway Centre added live entertainment and a competition to win a car and Centurion Lifestyle received a number of requests for ponytails to be cut for wigs to be made for cancer survivors.

Ladies spoiled at Hirsch’s Centurion for Valentine’s Day

Ladies attending the February 2015 ladies morning function at Hirsch’s Centurion were spoiled with a demonstration by Franco Lambiase (The Cake Man) on decorating cupcakes with chocolate roses and shards.
Franco donated one of the decorated cakes on display to a lucky guest and offered the decorated cupcakes to all the ladies.
The first finalist for the 2015 Margaret Hirsch Women in Business Achiever of the Year was announced and Ronnie Magic (Print Factory) received her well-deserved certificate and a R500 Hirsch’s voucher.

At the February 2015 Hirsch’s Centurion business network function, guest speaker Adele du Rand, discussed what to do when you or your company experience a problem to keep top talent and foster engagements on all levels.
Joanne Brunette thanked the Adele for her very inspiring talk with a voucher form Hirsch’s and invited all the guests to introduce themselves and their businesses.
Lucky draws with awesome donated prizes were handed out and the guests networked over coffee and snacks sponsored by Whirlpool.
