Sustainability Week, hosted by the City of Tshwane, offers a variety of conferences and seminars from 23 to 25 June 2015 in Pretoria.
This multifaceted event will bring together government officials from across Africa, the private sector, professionals, researchers and NGO’s to engage on sustainability to ultimately advance the Green Economy.
The African Capital Cities Sustainability Forum, a new addition to Sustainability Week, will explore various opportunities to address the sustainability imperative arising from the current and numerous challenges African cities face on a daily basis.

Lyttelton Clinic shelter welcomed by community

The Lyttelton Primary Health Care committee recently notched up a success in having a shelter erected to accommodate up to sixty-four persons waiting for attention by clinic staff.
In the past, community members visiting the clinic had to wait in the heat, cold or rain for attention but now have an overhead cover and seating space.
The clinic attends to up to 6,500 clients a month and the waiting time is sometimes up to an hour and a half.

Centurion Business Forum network meetings

The Centurion Business Forum (CBF) held their May 2015 monthly network function at the Cuppa Volta Café / La Volta Dance Studio.
The theme for this meeting was cyber security.
The June 2015 meeting was sponsored by Barloworld Toyota Centurion with well known TV and radio presenter Lindie Strydom as the guest speaker.
Guests also had the opportunity to test drive the various vehicles on display.

CRB Wintermusiekaand weer ‘n groot sukses

Die jaarlikse fondsinsameling van die Centurion Raad vir Bejaardes (CRB) het weer susksesvol verloop.
Die wynveiling het ook weer onder die bekwame leiding van Bobby Lock en vrygewigheid van die gaste ‘n stewige bedrag beloop.
Na ete was Pieter Smith die gaskunstenaar wat die gaste heerlik aan ou bekende Afrikaanse liedjies laat saam sing het.
Dr Elma Krüger, direkteur van die CRB, het haar dankbaarheid aan ‘n ieder en elk vir hulle borgskappe en bydraes uitgespreek.
Die fondse wat ingesamel is sal help om die groot leemte van die Raad se fonds wat nie …

Hats Galore at Ladies Morning

Ladies attending the Hirsch’s Centurion ladies morning come dressed with their own version of an exciting hat!
