Reduce your carbon footprint and recycle e-waste

28 June 2015 No Comment

Due to the interest of the public, Arcadia Primary School has decided to keep up the good work and to host one e-waste day every quarter.
More than 45 tons of e-waste have been saved from our landfills and the public is urged to make the next e-waste day another memorable one.
Councillor Juanita du Plooy of Ward 92 urges all residents of Tshwane to take their old mobile phones, dysfunctional irons, hair-dryers, toasters, kettles, old television sets, all computer equipment, scanners, printers, printer cartridges, electronic toys, power supplies and cables, stoves, washing-machines, gaming consoles, used batteries and other electrical appliances to Arcadia Primary School.
Items will be dismantled, refurbished or recycled and this is your chance to spring clean and to get rid of faulty appliances and appliances no longer used.
Use the Francis Baard (ex-Schoeman) Street entrance between Beckett Street and Farenden Street, Arcadia.
For further information on the next e-waste day, please contact Shirley du Toit on 012- 344 2249.
