Kids benefit from World Sleep Day at Hirsch’s Centurion

1 August 2016 No Comment

Hirsch’s hosted a competition for World Sleep day, whereby each branch competed to see how many children could fit onto a bed.
The Gauteng winners were the Grade 9 class of the High School Uitsig in Centurion when they fitted 27 learners onto a bed.
As winners of the competition, the school nominated the Shiny Kids Daycare and Development Centre, Olievenhoutbosch to receive the sponsored ten mattresses.
The Centre cares for 60 children between the ages of 6 months and 6 years, also providing them with breakfast and lunch.
The Grade 9 class, together with Mark Batterson and Margaret Hirsch (COE of Hirsch’s), were privileged to hand over the donation to Principal Patricia Matlakala and Innocentia Ramaboea.
Patricia started the centre in 2010 with 13 children and due to her passion and caring nature has grown the centre to what it is today.
A sponsored trophy to the winners was also received with much enthusiasm.
