13 March 2010 No Comment

Driving through the tree lined streets of Centurion last week, I suddenly noticed it. The leaves are changing colours. Yes, you can feel it in the air early morning and after the sun has set. Autumn is on its way and that is very exciting – not just because of the change in temperature.

We have been waiting a long time and this month we start counting the last 100 days to the start of the 2010 World Cup on 11 June.

The Centurion is also celebrating its first birthday and I would like to thank each and every advertiser and reader for all your support.

We also give praise to the Lord for without his grace running the newspaper would not have been possible.

We hope to grow in strength this year and invite all to send us any suggestions that can assist us to be of even beter service to you all.

During this year we will be launching exciting new projects which the whole community, old and young, could get involved with.

The first project is to compile a glossy area/business guide for Centurion. All businesses will be listed. Information on the Centurion history and future as well as information on prominent people of the community will feature in this guide.

Make sure you are part of this exciting guide which is to be distributed during the World Cup. Email your details to edit@thecenturion.co.za and we will contact you.

The April edition will focus on everything for Easter. Send us your special Easter recipe and you could win a prize!
