AARON – 2010 ambassador for Irene Village Mall

13 June 2010 No Comment

Aaron Maluleke, an employee of Braza restaurant at Irene Village Mall, has been appointed as the official Irene VillageMall’s 2010 Ambassador!

With his bicycle flying our flag, as well as its beautiful wood-engraved number plate with the words “GO 2010 GP”, he reminds all along his way what makes this country truly special – its people.

Aaron travels 19 km on the famous bicycle from his home in Winnie Mandela Park to Braza’s scullery every day.

Aaron is also a fervent supporter of Kaizer Chiefs, but it’s all about Bafana Bafana for the next few weeks.

When asked as to why he went to so much trouble to don the national colours, he replied: “I never got to shake the hand of our former President Nelson Mandela. I want him to watch us on TV, and see how much we love our country. Maybe he’ll see me on TV and come to shake my hand.”

Aaron’s biggest dream right now is to see our boys play against Mexico in their historic first match in the FIFA World Cup at Soccer City on 11 June.

Does he have a message for the international fans visiting South Africa? “We welcome them. They must come and wave their flags like we wave ours.”!
