Cricket South Africa (CSA) has rewarded Pretoria resident Mark Mack with a cash prize of R100 000 for showing his 100% support for the Proteas.

Mark won the Cash is King grand final, a HIT THE WICKET competition, hosted during lunch on day four of the 3rd Castle test match at Sahara Park Newlands.

“I’m shaking I’m so excited. I just can’t believe that this is happening to me, R10 000 was more than enough, now this! I am so blessed.” said Mark

“The money is going to my son’s cricket career. Yonic is so in love with the game and this money will go a long way in making his dreams come true. I will also use some to spoil my wife, she deserves it more than anyone I know.” he added.

Mack qualified for the Cash is King final after becoming a Cash is King finalist when his match ticket number was randomly drawn during the lunch break on day three of the opening Castle Test match.

CSA Brand & Corporate Relations Manager, Kass Naidoo, said: “The Cash is King competition was launched to reward fans who show their 100% support for the Proteas. CSA wants full stadiums to show the Proteas that we back them all the way. It’s great the fans have responded in such enthusiastic fashion.”
