I would like to comment on the advice given on flour and burnwounds.
No medical practitioner will give you the advice to put such a wound in flour or toothpaste or whipped egg white or Bicarbinate of soda.
The only way to treat burn wounds is to put it under cold runnig water for as long as possible to stop the skin from cooking, because that is what happen to skin and the underlying tissue, it cooks.
So to put all kinds of stuff on burns might aggrevate the treating proses later. It is virtually impossible to get flour etc. off so that burns could be treated properly.
So please do not advocate this remedy as a given, it can cause more harm than good, it would be preferable to buy a product for sears and scalds from the pharmacy and let professional people treat burns, specially those with blisters.
