7 August 2012 No Comment

As part of their social responsibility projects and in celebration of Mandela day, the Centurion Business Forum decided to hand out soup to 100 families.

Members of the Centurion Round Table 19 and Lyttelton Housewive’s Market donated packets of soup and other vegetables to the cause.

Trevor van Heerden owner of Absolute Catering at Rubies and Roses Conference Venue in Endstreet, Clubview and his team prepared the soup.

Warm soup and bread were served to 100 families at the council’s offices in Olievenhoutbosch by Philip Ardé, his assistant Samuel Andrews, Disa Smuts from Arbez Home Lodge and her PA, Angelique Martin and Dorothy Wye from The Centurion.

A further 300 frozen packs of cooked soup had been distributed to various retirement homes and to the residents of Jan Straat 1, Eldoraigne – which is part of Solidarity’s Helpende Hand projects.
