Winners of the 2012 Young Centurion Business Challenge

The winners of the 2012 Young Centurion Business Challenge were announced at a gala evening on 26 July 2012 at the Forever Resort Centurion Hotel.

The evening was attended by all the finalists, their families, friends and some teachers, various business people, members of the Centurion Business Forum.

The CEO of the Afrikaanse Handelsinstituut (AHI), Mr Christo van der Rheede as well as Mr Marius Louw also attended the function.

Not only did learners from the High School Eldoraigne won the first and second individual and group challenges, but their school also had the most entries and therefore won a Micro Bus sponsored by McCarthy Toyota, Centurion.

The winner of the individual challenge is Liznari Viljoen (Sproete Edms Bpk), second was Chantel de Jager and third was Hein Wissink of High School Centurion.

The prize for the winning team went to Minette Nel and Jolinda Swart (World of Sport) and in second place were Donay Mostert and Shannon Page.

The TEAM REBELfrom High School Uitsig, Bronwin Petersen, Modise Tumelo, P. Mulandana, Tristan Jennelser and Londani Nefale came third.

Prizes to the value of R500,000 for the top finalists were sponsored by FNB Centurion, Action Coach, Centurion Academy, AccTech Systems McCarthy Toyota Centurion, Outsurance, QPS Production, Centurion Business Forum and The Centurion community newspaper.

Winner Liznari Viljoen will also be interviewed by Dawie Roodt on the DSTV program, Ontbytsake, which will be flighted on 11 August 2012.

It is expected that the entries for next year’s challenge will be increased dramatically.
