Now you could own his first self-titled album!
Altus Theart received his National Diploma in Drama in 2006 from the Tshwane University of Technology where he specialized in theatre, singing and directing.
During his studies he starred in numerous stage productions which included “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “The Crucible” and “Skimmespel” and in the short films “Bloedrooi” and “Spaarwiel” as well as a couple of music videos.
After studying, he was part of the “Grease” team where he played the character of “Sonny” and played the character Werner ‘Killer’ Botha in the popular teen comedy “BAKGAT”.
Altus was honoured to share the stage with Steve Hofmeyr in the stage production “Dis hoe dit was… Die Steve Hofmeyr Storie”.
In television productions Altus played the lead in the critically acclaimed drama series “Kruispad” and starred in “Getroud Met Rugby”.
From July 2013, he will be seen in the new weekly television drama series “Donkerland”.
Since 2008 he also travelled throughout the country participating in various art festivals and is still performing the one-man show, “Hoe ‘n man se kop werk” throughout the country.
Other screen roles he played was in “Superhelde”,“Stilte”, “Getroud Met Rugby – Die Onvertelde Storie”, “Roepman” and played a lead in the musical “Tree Aan!”.
In 2012 he was seen on stage again in the musical “Lied van my hart”.
Altus is currently shooting a new feature film entitled “Ballade van Robbie de Wee” and in June 2013 he will be on stage in “Liefling – Die Blyspel”.
A well-known face and popular artist, Altus released his first self-titled album last year.
