SME’s and Legal Matters

13 August 2013 No Comment

The Centurion Business Forum network function held at the Centurion Theatre was well attended.
The guest speaker was Eugene Botha, senior associate at Sirdar and the very informative topic of his speech was “Demystify Legal Matters for SME’s”.
The co-ordinator for the 2013 Youth Entrepreneurs Competition (Y@CBIZ), Prof Gary Ferreira announced the launch of the competition and that it has been extended to high school children from all schools in all the provinces of South Africa.
The competition is also supported by the AHI, the ATKV and the Centurion Academy.
Also launched was another initiative by the Business Forum, namely the Centurion Carnaval that will take place over three days at the end of February 2014.
The “Dolly Trolly” to improve the street trollies filled with plastic, bottles and other recycle items was also introduced.
With all these exciting initiatives, the speed-networking session was held in the courtyard where they were served a light lunch supplied by the staff of Design Cuisine.
Business cards were drawn and the winners were able to introduce their business and a lucky draw saw members win some sponsored prizes.
The next network function will be held on 21 August 2013 and will be in the format of a teambuilding session.
