The African Achievers Awards are geared at recognising excellent individuals and organisations that have distinguished themselves in their contribution to the growth and development of Africa.
The focus is to motivate all African leaders including the prospective leaders and the youths through recognising outstanding persons and organizations that have contributed remarkably to the development of Africa in their own way.
For their efforts, that have clearly brought and restored hope to a lot of heart and homes in Africa, Jacques and Lian Papenfus of Moeggesukkel in Raslouw received the African Charity Organisation of the Year Achievers Award.
Jacques received the award at a ceremony held at the Presidential Banquet Hall, State House Accra in Ghana.
Moeggesukkel is a non-profit organisation assisting in the rehabilitation of drug abusers.
They employ an innovative cutting-edge process of guiding, supporting and equipping the grassroots entrepreneur through the survival, subsistence phase of his or her business towards the small business of the future.
There are a number of diverse businesses operating from the premises such as Catering, Auto, Steel Worx, Chemicals, Hygiene and Construction.
Businesses and individuals are invited to give a donation through using the projects of Moeggesukkel for quality and services at reasonable rates.
