An exciting Ladies Sewing Workshop has been organised by Nilla’s Needlecraft from 12 -13 May 2015.The workshop will entail sewing and lots of fun with fabric colouring and dyes as well as needlework projects and will end on a high note with quilting fun.
The fee for this exciting workshop is R1300 and will include all refreshments and meals. Book your seats early as there are only 35 places available.

SACBW Centurion reik uit met Broodjie-projek

Die SACBW Centuriontak het besluit om ‘n Broodjieprojek as een van hulle uitreikprojekte vir die jaar van stapel te stuur.
Fondse word tydens elke maand se netwerkfunksie ingesamel en dan word die geld aan ‘n skool geskenk om kos aan behoeftige kinders van die skool te voorsien.
Die eerste skool wat by hierdie projek gebaat het, is die Hoërskool Zwartkop en die hoof, dr Dewald Strydom het die donasie in ontvangs geneem.
Weens die noodtoestand wat onder gesinne in die gemeenskap bestaan is die skool se tema hierdie jaar “Zwarries Reik Uit” en …

Social Network in action

A network event with a difference took place when Ditasa held an event at their offices in March 2015.
The guest speaker, Ockert Möller explained the importance of networking and one should not only collect business cards, you must follow upon the connection you made.
Other guest speakers were Ursula Jacobs, Neels Venter, Verna Venter, Santa Brand and Dr Illona Brand’s pre-recorded talk was relayed on the big screen.

The importance of a sustainable network

The topic of the SACBW Centurion’s monthly network event for April 2015 was networking.
The guest speaker, Amalia van Jaarsveld, from Media Passion PR discussed how networking could be sustainable.
She also emphasized that to be successful at networking one should be yourself and she used the letters of her name to illustrate her sustainable networking success.
Other speakers on the topic of networking were Martie Kruger (Martie’s Salon), Linda Levendag (Dragonfly Media and Design) and Natascha Pienaar (The Computer Guys).

Discussing the Origin and Brewing of Coffees

The Guest Speaker at the recent networking meeting at Hirsch’s Centurion was Barista, Harry Mole.
Harry has been full-time in the coffee industry for the past two years pursuing his passion for coffee. He has roasted and developed coffee blends for a year and is currently a trainer of Baristas and has recently won the award for Best Cappuccino at the Gauteng Regional Barista Championships.
